WHAT?

The 2015 Little Indians Pow Wow is an informal gathering meant to be a fun time for members/owners to meet each other, display their cars and swap stories about these special vehicles. There will be a popular vote for trophies and a special award for longest distance driven, plus some other surprises being planned at this moment.

 WHERE?

Our gathering will be at Summit Motorsports Park, July 30 –August 2 in Norwalk Ohio and will be held during the Ames Performance Pontiac Nationals.

The Little Indians host hotel is the Super 8 – Sandusky/Milan. Contact them directly at 419-499-4671. They have given us a special rate of $61.99 for Thursday night, July 30 and $140.29 per night for Friday, July 31 and Saturday night, August 1 and $58.55 for Sunday night, August 4. Ask for the "Little Indians" Group Rate.

WHEN

Thursday night, July 30, cruise and dinner for the early arrivals. Swap meet and time trials open on Friday, July 31. All are invited to gather for a fun, casual BBQ picnic on Friday evening at the reservoir park not far from Summit Motorsports Park (see cost below). The car show will be held on Saturday, August 1, with an awards ceremony at 4:00 pm. If you are racing, the track opens on Friday, July 31 for vendor set up and test and tune for the racers.

WHO

Little Indians invite all 1961-1963 Tempest and LeMans stock as well as modified cars to join us. If you are not a member of the Little Indians Chapter of POCI, you are still welcome and while we hope that you will consider joining our chapter, membership is not required to join our show, or our catered Friday evening BBQ.

COST

All Little Indian Members may attend our show at no cost but will be required to register and pay the Ames Performance entry/contestant fee. Non-Little Indian members will be charged a $5 fee to enter our "show within a show". The cost to register with Ames is $45.00 for one car and driver and all others will be charged $35 for 3 days (Friday through Sunday), $25 (Saturday and Sunday), or $15 for any one day. If you wish to drag race your car, Ames charges $70 for the car and driver for the full weekend including Test and Tune on Friday and racing throughout the weekend.

The Little Indians Friday evening BBQ is $15 for adults and $7 for children under 12 for LIC members. Non-LIC members are $20 for adults, $10 for children under 12.

AMES RULES

To "show" your car, it must be a Pontiac-bodied car and to park with us it must be a

Tempest or LeMans between the years of 1961 and 1963. While your "class" for Ames

Judging purposes may be different, be that stock, modified, or custom, we will all still

park together on the show field. After entering the grounds, you will be instructed to go

to the tech lines where they will determine your "class" and provide you with your bag of documents, VIP tickets and specific show rules.

To race, the rules are somewhat different. Any "Pontiac Bodied" cars may have a stock

or modified drivetrain of any make, and if you have a non-Pontiac bodied car, it may still race if it has a Pontiac engine, but non-Pontiac bodied cars can’t come to the show field. You will be assigned a class in which you will race. If you are racing, you will be expected to stay on the race side of the track until you are done for the day. At that point you are welcome to drive over to the show field and park in our display area.

EVENT FACTS

Ames has a buffet dinner on Saturday evening which is free and included in your

entrance fees. During the mornings, they generally have a cart driving around offering

free coffee and donuts or you can visit the hospitality tent with your event pass. There are also many vendors for food, Pontiac parts, clothing, etc. and the largest Pontiac swap meet in the country, should you be looking for those elusive parts for your car.

You will receive wrist bands which allow you to come and go from the track for the weekend and you will need to visit AMES VIP to get your hospitality passes.
